During our first meeting we will briefly explore the circumstances that have led you to seek help. This will involve me taking a brief personal history from you about your life experiences and relationships to date so that we can see whether psychotherapy or counselling might be of benefit to you.

At this stage, we can provisionally decide what length of time therapy may be indicated based on this information but, equally, what you feel you can commit to.  As we move forward, we will check on progress and, if necessary adapt the way we are working depending, on what issues are raised. This also allows us to plan and prepare for an appropriate ending when you feel your needs have been met.

My preference is to offer a session at the same time each week but, if there is difficulty with this, I can be flexible.

Daytime and evening sessions are available.

I ask that you arrive promptly for your session, as lateness will affect your counselling time.

I practice from a dedicated therapy room in my home in Uphill Lincoln. Free private parking is provided.
